Like many homes for the era, this property had a separate bathroom and toilet, with a landing area between them. By stripping everything out and removing the dividing walls we were able to completely change the layout and add a new bathroom and en-suite wet room in the same footprint.
We created a 3D CAD plan to work out the optimal layout for the two bathrooms, including space required for new plumbing and drainage, opposing shower niches in each bathroom and an additional storage closet for the master bedroom.
The project was completed in 2 stages, the main bathroom was completed first to minimise disruption for the household. After which the en-suite for the master bedroom was added, this can be found on a separate page here.
We finished the bathroom in Paros Taupe 60×30 porcelain tiles, with electric underfloor heating and grouted using a commercial grade epoxy resin, a waterproof and chemical resistant grout which doesn’t discolour when wet.
This bathroom also features a demisting LED mirror with built-in clock, plus an integrated speaker system for listening to music via a mobile phone or tablet, perfect for those shower singing moments.
